First Cup Coffee in Pearland debuted a soft opening on November 28th and their Grand opening was December 3rd of 2020 . They are a successful business because of 6 owners. Let’s meet them!
Matt & Risa Simonette who are expecting their first child, a baby boy. Elijah & Autumn Mayo, whose children are Emery, Judah, and Ford. And Chad & Cassie Harpe
r and their children, Gavin & Gage. What a great looking team!
Before you even get inside, you can tell First Cup Coffee Pearland place is cool. They have a giant mural painted that shows some of Texas’ most notable things. An astronaut, cowboy boots & hat, the Texas flag, the Alamo, bluebonnets & a longhorn, and the downtown skyline. Then, once you get inside, you feel like you are at home–ok maybe not quite–this may be nicer! The leather sofas mixed with the industrial decor really makes for a nice atmosphere. The space is quite roomy, so you never feel like you’re sitting right next to someone, a part of their conversation whether you want to be or not.
Tip: If you wanna feel super fancy, step into their bathrooms. I leave those bathrooms every time and think dang! I need a green room in my house…oh, wait…I have a green bathroom like theirs! No wonder I love it so much. It’s clean & stylish.
I love the fact that Pearland First Cup is using beans that are roasted in Texas and you get the option to get that delivered, within days of being roasted I might add, straight to your doorstep! If that isn’t fresh, I don’t know what is.
Bundle (not a subscription): This is the perfect gift! Choose your roast profile and get 3 various bags for a friend! (or yourself, duh)
If you’re needing a quite space for a meeting, check out their private rooms. All are equipped with internet and whiteboards or space for brainstorming or taking notes as a basic feature. Starting at 10$ an hour, these are great for study groups or small team meetings. The much larger conference room has the option to include pastries and their amazing coffee!
This is the most precious corner in First Cup Coffee, in my opinion. It is an enclosed room (you’re not escaping out of here Dennis the Menace) with glass walls, so you can easily watch your kids play while enjoying your brew from a few feet away, minus the noise. The barista kitchen is the cutest play area and it makes me have real life dreams of becoming a barista! My kids really enjoy playing in this room, either drawing or watching a show, or playing in the kitchen.

I asked Cassie, with First Cup Coffee, a few things about their shop. Here’s what she had to say!
Q: What makes First Cup different than any other local coffee shops?
A: The space to sit, relax, work, or connect.
Q: What inspired the creation of this shop?
A: First, love of coffee. Second, community. A place for people to gather.
Q: Are there any cool events or anything special you want the community to know about First Cup?
A: We are so new that we have not really established what events we want to do and promote yet. At Christmas, we had the opportunity for people to come take pictures with the Grinch. That was fun! We have had different organizations hold events at our shop. Meet the Candidate, law enforcement organizations, etc.
Of course, I needed to know what their favorite items were as well!
As a recap, First Cup Coffee of Pearland is a new, up and coming coffee shop that is killing it in all the right spots! If you’re just needing a quick pick me up, they have a drive thru service that is fast and convenient. If you’re tired of working from home, but still need to get work done, this is your place! Looking for a hip meetup with friends? Check, check and check.
If you are a parent and looking for a temporary escape, First Cup Coffee may be the spot for you! Definitely give them a try. Also, you know who else you should give a try? Me. I am an amazing Houston/Pearland photographer who specializes in family, maternity and newborn photography.
